Under the Seas of Vodari

Thank you for your patience as we close in on finalizing our book. We expect to clear these remaining items by early October 2022 (or sooner):

• 2 city maps
• Artwork for 5 NPCs
• Dungeon map for starter adventure
• Monster Lists (by Creature Type and by Challenge Rating) for Appendix

We're really excited to be in the homestretch and looking forward to moving into final layout for our remaining chapters.

DIGITAL REWARDS

We expect to distribute the following digital reward in October 2022:

• Undersea Pre-Gen Character Sheets
• Undersea Digital Character Art & Tokens
• Digital Map Pack

HARDCOVER REWARDS

Once we get the digital (PDF) version 1.0 of Under the Seas of Vodari out to everyone, we'll focus on minor edits and getting the version 1.1 PDF to the printer. Expect additional details on this in our October update and an estimated ship date for all physical rewards.

EARLY ACCESS

We expect to send a zip with a rough copy of every chapter of the book by early October to early access backers. Early access backers are Midnight Depths Diver (CA$95) backers and above.

Thank you everyone who provided feedback on this PDF. We'll be making some minor updates and fixes. We'll send this update out in October 2022.

Under the Seas of Vodari

We're currently working on the following to complete the book:

• remaining city maps (6/10 complete)
• remaining artwork for NPCs and other small images (approximately 10 pieces remaining)
• remaining maps for adventure (1/3 complete)
• an additional full page illustration we just decided to add
• edits and rewrites to the chapters that are waiting for art
• Appendices (50% complete)

We're really excited to finally be in the homestretch and hope to be able to provide details on distribution and printing once we get the last two chapters to layout in our next update.

Hero's Guide to Vodari v1.1

We just distributed the latest version of Hero's Guide to Vodari (HGtV) to backers of this Kickstarter. The HGtV includes the latest versions of the races, subclasses, equipment, and spells from Under the Seas of Vodari (UtSoV).

The ZIP file includes: 

• update to the 144 page PDF with typos fixes and some additional artwork
• 9 page island gazetteer Word document 
• 10 page undersea gazetteer Word document 

Both gazetteers are editable, so you can cut out any content that you don't want to share with your players. Please feel free to share these Word documents with your table.

We're getting close to the final book as we work to close out the remaining city maps and artwork. While we're waiting for artwork we've been doing some tweaks to the various undersea locations, NPCs, and adventure hooks. We're really excited to finally be in the homestretch and will provide a detailed update on distribution and printing once we get the last few chapters to layout.

Here's our June 2022 update on the latest info for the Under the Seas of Vodari Kickstarter.

The Hero's Guide to Vodari

• This guide was send out to all of our Kickstarter backers last month and our next step will be to send out a feedback survey. We really hope everyone can take a few moments to complete a survey and help us create the best book possible.
• The Hero's Guide to Vodari v1.0 is missing two appendices which were sent out alongside the PDF in draft format. These appendices are with layout and will be added to v1.1 of the PDF along with any changes we make due to your feedback.
• People who missed out on our Kickstarter and jumped on late backers will get a chance to purchase the final PDF later this year.

Under the Seas of Vodari

We're working hard to close out the final Under the Seas of Vodari PDF...

ARTWORK

• We're continuing to work on finalizing the remaining art and maps. 
• We're very close to finalizing all of the NPCs from the gazetteer and the three remaining vehicles sketches should be completed next week. 
• We will share previews of the vehicles in our next update.

Here's an update on the latest info for this Kickstarter.

The Hero's Guide to Vodari

• Earlier this morning, we shipped The Hero's Guide to Vodari stretch goal to all Kickstarter backers. Late pledge backers and others will be able to purchase this PDF at a later date.
• We wanted to get all of the finalized player facing content from Under the Seas of Vodari found in this PDF to our backers, even if that meant taking our focus off the main book for a bit. 
• This 134 page version (v1.0) is missing two appendices which were sent out alongside the PDF in draft format. These appendices will be added with final layout to v1.1 of the PDF. 
• We also have final drafts for two short gazetteers (for the islands and undersea locales) which we were considering adding to v1.1 but will now be sending out as editable documents to all backers. This will allow gamemasters to protect setting content spoilers from their players who read the Hero's Guide or choose to provide this content to their players after modifying it to better fit their table. We'd love to hear in the comments below whether you would prefer full sentences or bullets for each location.
• Feedback on providing this book in softcover (or hardcover) formats has been positive and we will look into options once we complete shipment of the hardcover version of Under the Seas of Vodari.

Stretch Goal Adventure

• The outline for the adventure is complete and we are targeting a late 2022 delivery. 
• The adventure will take PCs to various Vodari locales, both above and below the waves.
• The adventure will target PCs somewhere in the range of levels 6 to 9, allowing for continuation from The Sunken City of Zuroth (levels 3-5, found in Under the Seas of Vodari) or The Island with No Name (levels 1-3, found in The Seas of Vodari) after a little island hopping for 4th and 5th level.
• We'll provide more details on this adventure in our July 2022 update.

Under the Seas of Vodari

• Now that The Hero's Guide to Vodari has shipped, we're returning our full focus on completing Under the Seas of Vodari.
• We're continuing to work on finalizing the remaining art and maps and making final edits to the gazetteer and adventure.

• We expect to send out v1.0 of Under the Seas of Vodari to all backers and late pledges in July. 
• We will send out a feedback survey in July as well.

4) ADDRESS LOCK DATE - July 2022

•  We will lock addresses in late July 2022. You will be able to change your address at that time.

4) HARDCOVER PRINT - August 2022

• Once we have feedback and fix any typos/errata, we will send v1.1 of the PDF to our local printer and send the final v1.1 PDF out.

5) HARDCOVER SHIPPING - September/October 2022

• We expect the turnaround from the printer will be 3-6 weeks based on our previous order and conversations. 
• The current state of the world's supply chain can always impact plans and we'll keep everyone updated on any issues or delays.
